Vitol announced today an agreement with Ventspils Nafta to purchase 49% of the shares of its subsidiary, Ventspils Nafta Terminals, located in Ventspils, Latvia.
With almost 1,200,000m3 of storage accommodating gasoline, gasoil and crude tanks and access to six berths at the port, Ventspils provides a strong position in the key Baltic region. In addition to extensive rail loading facilities the terminal is connected to the Russian pipeline infrastructure for both gasoil and crude.
