Vitol today announced that the first shipment of LPG has been safely delivered to the brand new Navgas LPG terminal, in the port of Lagos. The terminal is owned 50% by Vitol and 50% by Nidogas, its local partner and comprises two LPG spheres with a total capacity of 16,000 cbm.. The spheres and the loading racks will provide LPG for the large, growing Nigerian domestic market, providing safer and cleaner energy to replace more traditional energy sources such as wood and kerosene.
Access to the terminal is via a single jetty, with a maximum draft of 11.5 metres.
