Acquired by Vitol Refining Group BV in July 2017, the facility transforms light crude oil and condensates, producing naphtha, jet fuel, gas oil and residuals. Originally constructed as a simple condensate splitter in December 1993, expansion and optimisation over the last two decades increased capacity from 65 kbpd to 80 kbpd. The further addition of a naphtha splitting unit in 2008 has seen refining capacity increase to 85 kbpd.
Located at the heart of Rotterdam’s oil and petchem industry, near the village of Rozenburg in the Netherlands, the splitter is strategically located to service customers across the region. The facility is operated to the highest international HSE safety standards and holds a strong track record with over 11 years without a Lost Time Accident.
