North Irael
North Irael is a 78 sq km block contiguous to the Sotchemyu-Talyu area and produces from the same Devonian reef trend. Arawak Energy’s shareholding is held through RF Energy, which in 2006 acquired LLC NK Recher-Komi, the holder of the North Irael licence.
We completed an 81 sq km 3D seismic survey over the North Irael area in 2008 to image the fractured Devonian horizon associated with the Ukhtinski reef system. Similarly to Sotchemyu-Talyu, we are optimising the remaining drilling opportunities presented by this play type.
The field has 21 active wells, producing approximately 1,683 bopd, or 841 bopd net to Arawak Energy in 2011.
