Fujairah
Vitol acquired a 90% stake in the Fujairah Terminal Limited (FTL) in 2007, with refining and storage assets in the Emirate of Fujairah (UAE), just south of the Straits of Hormuz on the Indian Ocean. The refinery is now able to operate at up to its maximum capacity of 80,000 barrels per day. Since the purchase, significant additional investment has been made, with now over 1 million cbm of product storage and we’re currently planning further expansion.
Antwerp
Vitol’s European refining assets are located in the Port of Antwerp and are connected to an extensive pipeline network and harbour infrastructure providing flexibility for hydrocarbon feedstocks, intermediates and finished products. The facilities include one of the largest bitumen processing plants in the Benelux region with a capacity of approximately 875,000 tonnes per annum, and a tank storage facility with a potential capacity of approximately 720,000 cbm after additional investment.
